feeling light as a feather after therapy

Why therapy?

“Although you may not always be able to avoid difficult situations, you can modify the extent to which you…suffer by how you choose to respond to the situation”

-Dalai Lama

Many of us face challenges in our lives, whether in our personal relationships, in our work, or at school. We experience deep loneliness, anxiety, depression, grief from losses, and familiar patterns of dysfunction in our families or with our friends. Sometimes even past traumas can still affect us. Most of us are unaware of our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors which cause us to suffer. Uncovering and discovering them in psychotherapy or in analysis will empower you to manage your emotions, make new choices, and change your thought patterns and behaviors. Through our work together, you will challenge and embrace different parts of yourself, which will bring about an inner harmony that we all strive to achieve.

It may be crucial that you seek a therapist who is well-trained, and with whom you can collaborate with in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental setting. If you feel scared, overwhelmed, or defeated, this can be a critical turning point for understanding, recovery, and growth. Asking for help is not a sign of mental deficiency or weakness. On the contrary, it reflects an inner strength. If we work together, my goal will be to help you reach an emotional state so that you can feel more at ease with yourself, discover your inner potentials, connect with others more easily, and enjoy a more fulfilling life.
