The process
Partnership in the journey of self-discovery is both enriching and transformative
The therapeutic process is centered on you sharing and speaking whatever comes to your mind. This free association will help us discover unconscious patterns you have. My role is to clarify and help you understand these patterns. Towards this end, I sometimes ask questions, at other times make interpretations. These insights, at times, will be challenging. Identifying where the challenges are helps gain further understanding in our collaborative work.
This process might feel difficult; however, it is very valuable and enriching. In our work together, you will develop the capability of discovering the obstacles that prevent you from having a more fulfilling life, and the capacity to bring about positive changes.
This process requires empathy, understanding, and respect for the individuality and the unique pace of therapy for each person.
I view psychotherapy and analysis as a partnership between two individuals. We will get to know each other and create an authentic relationship which will be conducive to building trust. The presence of an emotionally engaged therapist, who values and respects your uniqueness, is essential. A crucial component of therapy and analysis is the presence of an empathetic and interested person who is truly listening to you.
